about us

Frame-n-Art created the “young In Art program” in 1996 as a way to celebrate and promote young artist in our local educational community.  Since its early conception the program has grown to include an annual art show for local elementary, middle and high school artist.

Each year artwork is collected from the schools and reviewed by a committee of professionals, who only select a limited number of most creative pieces to be in the annual show.

The selected art work is hung in the Frame-n-Art gallery for two weeks art show open to the public for voting for a “popular choice” award.  Additionally, during the show a team of local professional artist will judge the each piece of artwork based on originality, emotional content, and the use of color.

The art show culminates with an artist reception where the judges critiques are presented to the young artist.  As an incentive to continue their journey in art, one piece for each grade or media category with the highest judges evaluation,  is awarded a 1st place ribbon.  All other pieces are awarded a participant for being juried into the show.
